Unicorn Lovers

Hello hello, everyone! I hope you are all very happy this week ♥. Today I will be participating in Gala Darling's Curious Tuesday!

1. Where do you find inspiration?
I find a lot of inspiration through other bloggers. My love for Gala's blog actually made me, years later, feel like I could blog and people would like it. The more I've gotten into blogging and following other amazing people, the more I feel creative and happy. I feel like I know some of the people I follow and some of the people who follow me. I feel very connected.

2. Have you got any hobbies or interests you've let laps and wish you would take them up again?
Sometimes I wish I would have kept up my more active hobbies. I used to play softball, ride horses, do gymnastics, ect. but never kept them up very long. I wish I enjoyed exercise, but I really don't.

3. One tea party. Ten invitations. Who would you invite?
Wow what a flood of ideas. I would invite Ashley, Gala Darling, Kaylah from Dainty Squid, Kayla from Cupkay :D, my crazy Nonnie, Dani from Sometimes Sweet, Katie and Hope from Skunkboy Creatures, and everyone other unicorn lover in the world :] We'd have cupcakes, pies, peach tea, and a glitter fight.

4. Who was your favorite teacher at school and why?
My favorite teacher, as I talked about before, is my yearbook advisor/English teacher because she is such a level headed woman. I think she's helped me more than she might ever realize.

5. Have you ever been in a long distance relationship?
No, I have not. I think it would be very rough to be away from someone for long periods of time.

Feel free to answer the questions on Gala's blog or even here! :]

So tired

I feel terrible to the few friends I have here because I'm so tired. I feel like my grandparents, who often fall asleep sitting up in their chairs in the living room. My CA mind is hating my PA body, and I really wish I could get to sleep earlier. Halp? haha, I wish. I miss you all dearly, I'm sorry for my absence. I wish I was in the mind set to blog everyday, but I'm really not.

Sometimes I forget I don't really live here. My grandparents have been a huge part of my growing up and I feel very natural being here with them. I miss my friends and other family so so much but I don't feel homesick because my home was often with them. They really are a huge part of my life.

I wish I could sleep,

Small update:

I'm doing wonderfully in PA, but my mind isn't on blogging. Usually I spend a lot of time thinking about what I will talk about, finding pictures, ect. But this week I haven't really thought of it at all. So I think I will do updates on my days, ect, but I probably won't have any serious posting till I'm back in CA. I don't want to put out bad posts just for the sake of posting. I hope you all are doing wonderfully. ♥

Sooo....

Hello my loverly readers! Turns out I do have internet here, thanks to my grandpa's laptop! :D I'm having an aboslute blast, my grandparents are wonderful and PA is b-e-a-utiful! I can't stop staring at all the green, the desert has never looked so sad. ♥ The time change really bites, it is 11:02 am here and my mind is telling me it's 8:02 am. Isn't that terrible? I woke up at 5 o'clock California time and I'm dying. I can't wait to adjust and be normal.

Other than that, I'm very happy to be here and very happy to be with my grandparents. Their house is a two story, hundred year old home so it's not exactly modern. I'm in love with the floral wallpaper, tiny kitchen, and HOT PINK shag rug in my bedroom. I think I could totally live here, as long as my business goes well :].

I miss you all greatly, have a wonderful "afternoon"! ♥

Goodbye West Coast!

Today, my last day in California for two weeks, is Day Sixteen: A picture of your dream cellphone. Well, Donny isn't home so I can't upload any more pictures today, but my dream phone is a Droid or iphone. I want to be able to blog, efficiently, on the go as well as check my etsy and things like that. I think the iphone is awesome, but since I have Verizon the droid would have to do. Donny says when we move out, and can afford it, we'll try to get our own cell bill together and get smartphones. :] yippeee!

And here is a better picture of my new hair color:
:D

Anyway, I just wanted to say goodbye and I love you all before my flight tomorrow. Even though I know I don't have a lot of followers, I am happy to share my life with you all and feel very close to you all.

I depart California at about 6 am and should get to Pennsylvania in the afternoon. I am very excited for my trip but I'm going to miss California so much, with all my family and friends here. However, I am optomistic and going to have a wonderful time with my grandparents. ♥

I hope you all know how much I will miss you, and I will try to update with my Month of Photos as well as I can. Remember I'll still be Twittering! I love you all dearly.

New hair!

I dyed my hair today! The blond wasn't my thing, just a fantasy I need to get through my head haha. So I dyed it dark brown, which happened to have a little auburn in it and it's awesome! I've never been so happy with a hair color, from the box no doubt! :]

I hope you all love my hair as much as I do!! Tomorrow I'll write my vacation letter, I really will miss you all. But I'll still be updating once and a while and be updating Twitter like crazy!

It's Monday!

(I found this on stumble!, and I really adored it.)

Is anyone else completely pumped just because it's Monday? I sure am! Today I leave my dad's house, boooo, but I spend the day with Donny, yaaaaaeah!, since I leave on Thursday for Pennsylvania. Although I'm always bummed to leave here, we had a great week together and I'll be back as soon as I can. Isn't family swell?

Also, today is Day Fourteen: A picture of your favorite teachers. Okay I don't have any pictures of my favorite teacher... But I can say she is amazing and a wonderful young woman. My favorite teacher is my yearbook adviser/English teacher, Miss Evans. She's a light of sunshine to everyone she meets, because although things aren't always great, I've never seen her truly down in the dumps. Stressed, irritated, and tired but never down in the dumps. Miss Evans is truly a wonderful young woman.

It's always wonderful to meet truly inspirational people. Miss Evans has been one of those people in my life. Another is my father. Because my parents are divorced, I spent most of my young childhood, and most of my life actually, with my mother. I saw my dad regularly, but it's hard when your young (like a child), to realize how effective someone is in your life. As I grow towards adulthood, I realize how wonderful my dad is. He's caring and loving, but always strong and supportive like a man should be. The more I spend time with my dad the more I realize how I need to be more picky with people in my life. I shouldn't waste my time stressing out over friendships, I should find people who enjoy my company and appreciate me for who I am. I don't think I can express how much I am thankful for this gift he's taught me. I love you, Dad ♥

Donny, Dad, myself. White Trash Halloween Party 2009.
This year's theme is Wild West :D

Donny and I are going for this kind of a look.
(Found on google but I'm sure the rights go to the tv show.)
I'm even going to have a baby-doll to carry around, ya know we gotta start California some how.

Who is inspirational in your life?

A wonderful beach day

Today my family and I went to the beach for Father's day, which was an absolute blast. After a few hours of doing nothing because we got there two early, har har, my siblings and their families came and we had a wonderful time!

I wore my Target dress and one piece swim suit, oh and my Target sunglasses. I hate Target. Please excuse my nasty hair. :] Thanks.

We participated in tons of activities today! From extreme-frisbee horseshoes
My Brother Chris, showing my dad how it's done. You have to throw a frisbee through a one foot high hoop. INSANITY!

(This handsome feller is my dad :] )
See the tiny hoop? Do I have to say it again? INSANITY!

To some relaxing Soduko-ing
Kathy, my step mother, adores puzzles. She does the crossword every morning.

We even did some canoeing!

However, the best feat of them all was preformed by Chris. He is VERY proud of this.

I hope all you fathers, men who will some day be fathers, and anyone who knows a father had a wonderful Father's Day. I sure as hell know we did. ♥

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day everyone! I'm at the beach tomorrow, so I'll have to do an update on it all tomorrow night or Monday! (I promise I will). I'm so lucky to have a great father to look up to, I hope he knows I love him as much as I really do. ♥ But, more on that later. :]

On to my day thirteen, before I completely forget. Tomorrow will be Day Thirteen: A picture of your friends. I have quite a few friends, but since some of our friendships are new I don't have pictures of everyone. :]

You all know my best friend ♥

This is Ashley. She's a doll. ♥ On the left of course, ignore my hair haha! She's my inspiration to be fabulous and sweet. I don't think she's mean to anyone, ever!

And here is my best friend from school, Garth! He's the funniest person I think I've ever met. You'd think we wouldn't get along because he's an attention seeker, but he's aware of his "need" for attention and that makes it okay. :]

And last but not least, Muffin.

Well these have just been a few of my wonderful friends! Who is your best friend? ♥
I'll blog about my beach trip tomorrow, or something, promise!

Day Twelve: My favorite food

As anyone who knows me knows, I love sweets. They really get me everytime. So I'd say my favorite food is....
*weheartit*

Ice cream!
I adore ice cream, it's my favorite desert and food of all time. I also really love pies, cookies, and that sot of thing. :] I just really love sweets, more than any other kind of food haha. ♥

Today is a super relaxed day today, which is great for me. This week has be wonderful and I'm going to miss my family terribly when I'm in Pennsylvania. However, at the same time I am looking forward to going home for a few days and then off to the East coast. I think it's going to be a nice vacation since I won't be able to have one for a long time once Senior year starts. ♥ I've decided to de-stress my life in every way possible.

I hope you all are enjoying your Saturday and learn to de-stress as well, for all those other stressers out there. Any tips? :]

Happy Friday, Everyone!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful morning so far, I sure am. The closer I get to leaving for PA the more excited I get, even though I'm going to miss my computer. Before I leave I'll set my twitter to actually text me so I can stay kind of connected. I'm going to miss blogging very much and probably have to put my Etsy on "vacation mode". Like that's gonna help me get some sales, oh well ♥ I want to enjoy my time with my grandparents.

Today is also my Day Eleven: A picture of your favorite drink.

I loooooooooove a good Coca Cola. Especially if I haven't had one in a month or two, it's like caramel colored gold. It's my special occasion drink.

But I also love having a pitcher of lemonade or crystal light in the fridge at all times. I think it's a great way to keep hydrated when you just don't feel like water. My dad and Kathy keep a pitch of crystal light for my niece and nephew but if I stay a while I drink it all and get to pick the next flavor!

Lately I've been thinking a lot about animals. My cat, Muffin, was having some tummy troubles when I was home so I've been very worried about her. She's 10 this year and I have been worried we'd have to take her to the vet and risk the possibility of putting her down. Although I'm usually a very unattached person, I can accept loss easily, I have been pretty upset about the issue. She's been my kitty for so long I just would feel terrible if she had to be put down... I think that's why I've been dreaming of having a French bulldog next year. Donny and I hope to have either a small dog or cat when we move in and I used to petition for a kitty, and now a doggy. I'm pretty torn.

On one hand, if Muffin is fine I'd want to take her with us. She's my baby... but since she is 10 I would be worried moving her again would be bad for her health. I really love cats and they way they behave, so it's usually my number one choice.

This little Siamese reminds me of Muffin a lot.
*all images above from weheartit*

However, lately I've fallen for French Bulldogs. I wish I knew someone who had one so I could see how they act, but I love their little froggy faces. I think they're darling in a really goofy way.

*image from welcometothedoghouse.net*

Although I don't move out for a year, I really look forward to having a little sweetheart to take care of... my maternal instincts tell me I'm going to need a pet. I can only take care of Donny so much of course, but he's a grown man. He doesn't need me the way a doggy or kitty would... Oh conundrums.

I hope you all are having a wonderful Friday. Anyone know a Frenchie? Would you recommend one? If so or not, why?

Jaco

Day Ten: What I Love to do

Today is my Day Ten, I am officially one third into my 30 days of pictures, and they are pictures you all already know I like to do.

Sew my troubles away.

And play clarinet.

So, I thought I'd think of a few things you might not know so much about. There are a few strange things I love to do:

Sit right in front of the tv when I play video games. I like to be able to know I can control the television screen haha! It makes me feel in control.

I wiggle my toes as I try to get to sleep.
(I found this picture on weheartit but, because I follow her blog, I know this picture is from Color Me Katie's blog.)

When I see a tattoo on a person, I always want to touch it. I don't know why, I just want to feel the skin.
So gorgeous.
*all pictures are from weheartit*

I hope you like my little insight of oddities. I'd love to hear some of yours! What things do you like to do that are odd, unique, or down right strange?

Just for fun.

I Am.. A huge oddity in my generation. I don't get along very well with other people my age group.
I Want... A family, my own home, my own business
I Have... A wonderful family.
I Wish... I could show more people what I am capable of.
I Hate... Negativity.
I Fear... Failure at my own hand.
I Search... For better people to spend my time with.
I Wonder... How far I can go in life.
I Regret... The times I didn't stand up for myself.
I Love... Contentment.
I Ache... When I realize how hard change can be.
I Always... Want to be happy.
I Usually... Stress over nothing.
I Am Not... Someone to be messed with.
I Dance... When I feel really, truly happy.
I Sing... In the car, loudly.
I Never... Cease to be amazed by other people.
I Rarely.... Give myself a break.
I Cry... When I am tired.
I Am Not Always... As collected as I seem.
I Lose... Control of my stress from time to time.
I'm Confused... About how to achieve my future, all I know is I will.
I Need... Understanding.
I Should... Remember to love myself as much as I love others.

I know these surveys are terrible myspace, but I think they're fun every once and a while. Feel free to answer it in the comments, or blog about it and post the link! I'd love to hear your answers.

Day Nine?

Correct, today is my Day Nine: What you ate for lunch today. However, I totally forgot... For lunch/breakfast I had fruit, canalope and watermelon. But for dinner, which I just ate, I had a Thanksgiving plate. We went to a steakhouse last night with family and I got turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberries, and stuffing. It was truly amazing. Thanksgiving in June. :D However, I totally forgot to take the picture. FAIL, inorite?!

This came up when I weheartit'd Thanksgiving. :D

And for all of those who thought I was totally lazy in my dress yesterday, I changed when we went out. This is how I looked for the good part of yesterday.
Bam.

Other than that it's been a pretty good day. I've been spending time with Kathy, my step-mom, which is always quite nice because my dad was flying all day today. It's kinda nice just to have girl time and not do very much. ♥ I hope you all have had a wonderful wonderful Wednesday!

Nerd Alert!

Caution: This post may contain humongous amounts of nerdy action. Those who are weak of heart may not want to continue down my path of nostalgia. This post will be full of Lady Gaga, Pokemon, and Legend of Zelda. That is all.

Today is my "Day Eight: A picture of yourself" and while it sent me into a spiral of nostalgia. I first took my picture, notice the little boy's XL Star Wars shirt from target. [Yes I am a little offended that Target believes I am a husky little boy]:
Yes, my bedroom walls are painted like a cave of sorts... Yes, my step mom painted them. Even though they are a little boyish for me, I think it's too awesome that she can paint like this. There are clouds on the ceiling.

Alright, here is where the extra nerdiness comes in.... As most of you know, I adore Lady Gaga. I saw her Alejandro video yesterday, which is AMAZING go look it up, and just feel like I fell in love all over again. Every time she does something new I just fall for her music and her persona all over again. Sooo.... if you're gaga for Gaga, throw up your monocle!

In my own defense, I have no idea what this means. I just know Lady Gaga does it a lot.

No clue what it is, I just know she does it. I think it's a monocle.

As I was looking for Lady-Gaga-Monocle pictures, I ran across a tumblr called DiamondIn+heRough that completely shows my childhood. He has pictures of everything I used to be in love with when I was a kid. I was pretty in love when I saw all the Pokemon pictures:

But when I saw Legend of Zelda stuff? Oh I knew I really loved that website.
I loved Sheik. She was freaking awesome. I've always thought they should throw Sheik/Zelda a bone and give her her own video game. Imagine how freaking awesome that would be.

I had a huge crush on Ganondorf when I was a kid. I dunno why, and in my defense I was really odd, but it's true. I've also thought a Zelda movie would be tight and Michael C. Hall would play Ganondorf. :D (Zachary Quinto would play Link :D )

Along with Zelda and Pokemon pictures, Diamond in the Rough [funny the name similarities huh] also had Lion King and Mario pictures! Both of which still effect my life.

I think it's just a nostalgic kind of a day for me. I really think I had a great generation to grow up in, I mean I had Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That should be all I have to say. :] What things remind you heavily of your childhood? Is it a video game? Maybe a tv show or a movie? Feel free to speak your mind, leave a comment!

Love and Turtledoves,
Jaco

P.S. I ordered business cards yesterday! I can't wait to see them, they have Wilmer Nerdbot on the front. Remember him?

Creepers.

Gorgeous via weheartit.

Good morning, good morning. Today, at least I think, is my first relaxing day of *hopefully* many this week. I don't think we have any plans and I'm looking forward to sewing today. I had made two Lovebot bodies back home, stuffed them, and put them together. SO that I could do the faces and personalities while I am here. ♥ I am really looking forward to it today. I hope to do half of one today, so that I have more to do the rest of the week.

It's a beautiful morning this morning and I am happy to say that I slept in till 9:45 for once! Hurraaay that never happens. Back home it's too hard to sleep in between cats running around and my mom vacuuming in the morning. But here, it's quite possible to sleep all day, I love the change :]

Anyway, today is my Day Seven and I'm supposed to post a picture that makes me cry...

It doesn't make me cry but it's a sad memory. It's always hard to grow apart from someone, even if it is for the best.

Alright, on a happier note, I totally want to order business cards. I think they'd help my business when I meet people so I don't have to write down my email, I could just hand one out. However, I'm pretty undecided on the picture. I want it to be of a Lovebot, but I don't know if the picture I have the one I think I really want. I may just be being impatient, because if I don't have to take a new picture I could order them and have them before PA. But if not, I'll have to wait... Oh decisions decisions.

Love and Turtledoves,
Jaco

Day Six.

Today I drove down to my Dad's house to spend a week with my wonderful family. We had a great dinner (chicken, potatoes, watermelon, veggies, ect. YUM) and an even better dessert (brownies and ice cream. DOUBLE YUM.) I am big on sweets, I wish they weren't so terrible because I know if they weren't I'd be a lot skinnier. I am starting to love my body but I also know I love sweets more, haha. Someday I'll have some self control.

Anyway, today is Day Six of my photo month. I am supposed to post a picture that inspires me. I'm not sure what kind of picture I'm going to go for, since as of right now I don't know. I have a folder in my computer labeled "Inspiration"... I think I might just post more than one.

This picture is a major inspiration for me, because I am a stressful person. It's currently my background.

This kind of picture makes me want much better pictures of Donny and I. We're getting pictures done in a little while, but I can only hope they are as good as this.

I have a ton of beautiful tattoo pictures, mostly because this is how I really see beauty. I love how unique tattoos make a person.

This picture makes my OCD scream, "Pay attention to me!" Even though my bookcase is organized like this ;). It also makes me want a pug. But you know what dog I really want?

[The pictures are either from weheartit or google.]
Yes please ♥.

I hope all of you had a wonderful Sunday. I am loving this week away from friends, no offense I love you all dearly. However, I like being here with my family because it's all about me and my family. I can't be bothered but I couldn't leave, since none of them live here. I love a good get away. :]

Good night!

Love and Turtledoves,
Jaco

P.S. I really want business cards. Do you guys think that would help my little business? ♥ don't hesitate to comment, I love to hear from you all! Remember you can comment using blogger/google, Live Journal, Word Press, Type Pad, Aim, Open Id, and even if you don't have any of those! Feel free to leave your name or even comment anonymously, I love it all. ♥
