I have some wonderful news....

As most of you know, I am a senior in high school and it is coming down to the time to decide which college I will be attending in the fall. Early this year I applied to two schools, Cal State University Long Beach and Cal State University Fullerton. Both schools are close to my Dad's house, who I will be moving in with soon after graduation.

I've had my eyes set on Fullerton for years. I have a lot of family who have graduated there, and it is a wonderful school. When I've visited the campus, I've felt at home and truly like I should be there. Also it really is a wonderful school. Long Beach was my back up plan, in the off chance that I wouldn't get into Fullerton.

So after many weeks of uncertainty, because my high school transcripts were late and so my acceptance was late, I got into Fullerton as well as Long Beach. And on Sunday, I made my decision...

I am officially going to Cal State Fullerton!
I am a Titan, officially.

I'm really looking forward to my future, since it feels oh so close now. I just wanted to let you all know!

Ps. Graduation is in just around a month!!! Hurraaay!

Sorry for my lack of posting!

She loves me.

I apologize for the crickets on my blog! I've been disconnected at home, our internet limit is tiny and we had to stop using it for a while. Thankfully I'm at my dad's house until monday morning and am fully connected to everything I love.

I've been a very busy bee as of late! I have softball almost everyday, which is wonderful and terrible at the same time. It is nice to play ball again, I just have to get used to sleeping a lot less. We've been playing really well and giving the other teams a run for their money. Although we're not perfect, yet, we've been fighting back and kept the other teams from mercying us.

I've also been hard at work on some new Lovebot orders. I have one to do for William's mother, Patricia, two secret Lovebots, and two to do for my school's silent auction. Some how I'll get them all done before my head explodes! Also, incase you didn't know, I'm having a giveaway with Polly of The Littlest Polly! Click here to check out the giveaway!

In other news, I'll be in Hawaii in just under two weeks for my sister Kacey's wedding! We're going to be super busy but I'm really looking forward to enjoying my time there. Also, I'll be turning eighteen in two weeks! Hurraay adulthood, how long have  I waited for you? ;)

I hope everything is well on your neck of the woods!

A-Chika-Chika-Chikaaaa!

Two years of my high school career I played softball, I was pretty decent but due to problems with coaches I didn't return my junior year. Although I enjoyed my freedom that spring, I truly did miss everything about the sport. The smell of the glove, like leather and dirt. The way your legs barely work after a good game. Losing your voice because of the cheers. And most of all, the sound of bat to softball contact: getting a sweet hit to the outfield.

This year I didn't sign up for softball either. Although there is a new coach, I had yearbook to stick to. That's what  I told myself. But as I started to make the softball page in the yearbook, and had to talk to the players to get some captions right, I started to miss those things. I longed for the soreness I hadn't felt in so long. For the nervousness of waiting for the perfect pitch. I missed everything about softball.

So I changed my mind. The new coach is a sweet woman named Mrs. Solorio, who had been my favorite art teacher in 8th grade. She brought up the fact I wasn't playing one day and I jumped on it, I was in! All those things I missed are so wonderful again. I come home from practice and although I am so tired, I feel so good. It feels good to be apart of such a fun team, we truly enjoy the sport *even if we aren't very good*.

I truly missed being apart of a team and am so lucky my school was so open to letting me play again. The very best part was being welcomed back by the girls as well as our field manager, who gave me a hug and said some very sweet things.

Jaco

Ps. To be honest, the cheers are my second favorite part ;) No wonder I became a cheerleader!

Determined to beat the creative funk...

Photobucket

Admittedly it's been a hard few months for my business. It's been slow in the terms of sales, which is the most discouraging feeling I've experienced. I had a very good year last year, my first year of my business, but I thought it might be easier by now. I have had problems with marketing, but I realize it's my own fault if I have been slacking at it. I should blog more and comment on other blogs more, but I get so lazy. I've been so lazy I've hardly made any new Lovebots. I've been discouraged for a while and I'm determined to change it.

Today I did the most sewing I've done in weeks and I have a lot more planned for the next few days. I want to make at least five in the next few days, hopefully that'll spice up my shop a bit. I'm going to start sewing every day again. Especially when I'm bored between 3 to 5 when William is busy working. I'm determined to end this creative funk. My business deserves better than that. I just need to commit myself to the things I think I'll do, not just think it then take a bath instead. I need to remind myself how much I truly love creating my little bots.

My Favorite Things #1

I'm going to do a new weekly post on one of my favorite things in my everyday life. Unlike other blogs that do a list of online things they like or want, mine are going to be about a single activity or object I enjoy. Without further ado, here is my first favorite thing!

I love taking baths. Especially in the winter, I take a bath almost everyday. There is something extremely relaxing and calming about laying in the bath while reading a good book. Recently I've been reading Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. Jane Eyre is for my British literature class and Darkly Dreaming Dexter is for my own enjoyment, it's the book that the first season of Dexter was based after. I love it that now I can read it anytime and get really really wrapped up in the story.

The second best thing about baths is my cat does this and purrs crazy loud. She gets really happy and wants to be pet... which only works when I'm reading and my hands aren't wet. Sometimes when they are wet I still pet her head, just to mess with her hehe.

Over all, any time is bath time. :)

April's List

A few things that need to get done in April.

1. Find shoes for my sister's wedding in May. I need some type of a yellow sandal, I'm a bridesmaid.
2. Save up for Vegas trip in May.
3. Get my warts burned off. TMI? sorry haha, I've had them on my calf forever and it's time for them to go!
4. Go back to the gym, I've been neglecting it.
5. Finish the yearbook.
6. Pick a college

It's kinda a slow month, kinda a busy month. I'm looking forward to May a lot more than I am enjoying April.

I have some great news!

In May, for my 18th birthday, I am going to Las Vegas!!!

I had been talking to my mom about seeing William again for my birthday and she was completely for the three of us, my mom, her husband Rex, and I, to make a trip out! We live about 2.5 hours away and are making the trip out on May 21st!

May 21st, in particular, because that night William, his parents, brother, and I will be seeing:
Rammstein!!!

In case you've never heard of this wonderful band, they are boss. Rammstein is a German industrial metal band who never plays in America. Seriously it's been ten years. The were in New York on December 11, 2010 (the day William and I became a couple) and now they're touring the rest of America!

We'll be shopping, touring the strip, eating sushi, goofing around, and William, apparently, has a few surprises up his sleeve! (I wonder what they could be.) Most of all, to be honest, I'm looking forward to seeing my best friend again and meeting his family for the first time. It really means a lot to me to meet his folks and brother, so I bought pretty much an entirely new outfit for when I meet them before the concert.
Will and I will have matching "Liebe ist fur alle da" (love is for everyone) shirts, I bought new H&M black shorts, new red Toms, and I think I'll wear my bang back so they don't get nasty while we're rocking out!

Happy Birthday to meeee ;)

Jacqueline
