Graduation in T-minus....

Five Days.

Five days and I will call to a close my entire high school career.
I'll say goodbye to all the kids and staff I've known for 11 years.
Part ways with my fellow classmates I've seen everyday for the past 11 years.
I'm sure at first we'll all try to stay in contact, but in reality we're all off to start very different lives
Some to private school and some to public
Most in California and a few else where
I'm sure we all have good intentions, but really it's time to say goodbye...
in five short days.

A Weekend I will never forget.

This Saturday I piled into a Honda civic with my mother and step dad, off on a trek across the desert to the lovely land of lights. It took us just about three hours, even with a small stop in Baker, to reach our destination. Although the flashing lights of the strip were enticing and our nice hotel was comforting, neither one had my attention. Their false facades had nothing on what I was there for, the promise of spending time with my best friend and his sweet little family.

After checking into the hotel and telling Mom and Rex to have a good time, I was reunited with my William. We hugged, kissed, joked about the fact that he went to the joining hotel instead of my hotel, and truly were giddy little kids. After a little moment to ourselves we were joined by his dad, Robert, who is truly a character! After a short trip to the store, we ended up back their sweet little home.

I was quickly greeted with dog love, hugs, promises of too much food, and a Rammstein t-shirt. Although I had never met the three of them, his mother, brother and father, I felt very much at home with them. Never before have I been so well received by people I had hardly met. We shared stories, looked through old photos, and spent a lot of wonderful time all together.

Around 8 o'clock we piled into the car and headed over to UNLV's Thomas and Mack center to see our much anticipated concert. All I can say is that it was simply amazing. I honestly don't think I could see a better concert in my life, they truly know how to put on a show. Their sound was crystal clear, their lights amazing, and pyrotechnics were out of this world! It'll be a night I'll never forget. Seeing my favorite band with my favorite person and his sweet family.

The rest of the weekend we simply spent time together. Anytime we have together is truly special to us and we take it very seriously. We celebrated my birthday with homemade pizza, amazing, and chocolate cake. His mom gave me a picture of him as a little boy back in Florida and William gave me a bracelet as well as a few more childhood pictures of himself. I know I'll truly never forget how wonderful the all were to be, I hope to show them how much I appreciate them in the future. Until then I'll just show William that everyday.

Two little days

Photobucket

In two days I'll be back in the arms of this beautiful man. I'll be with my best friend again, making trouble as usual I'm sure. We'll be meeting his family, seeing Rammstein, celebrating my birthday, exploring Vegas, as well as just enjoying each other's company. Somedays it feels like it's only been a week, while others truly feel like the two months since we've seen each other have gone on forever.
If I can sum up all my feelings in one word it would be...
YIPPEEE!!!!!

See you soon, best friend!

I'm going to be deeply honest.

Photobucket

Tonight, while waiting for William to get home, I've had a little bit of a breakthrough. Although I try not to show it, like every other person in the planet, I have my own insecurities. I have personal insecurities about my body, my personality, you know normal things. And while having some time alone today, I was worrying about something... well, honest, stupid.

Then I had a little bit of a breakthrough.
I don't need to be perfect.
I don't need to be blonde or tan or have a body any different than I have.
I don't have to know how to curl my hair (I really don't).
Or wear make up everyday.
I don't have to use good language (because believe me I don't)
Or pretend to be someone I'm not.

There is a man in Las Vegas, currently getting groceries with his dad, that loves me.
He thinks I'm beautiful and worth while.
He tells me everyday.

I have a tiny, German best friend who freaked out when I came back to school Thursday.
She wishes I didn't have such a foul mouth but she loves me.

There are many other people in my life that I didn't even realize truly care about me.
Fellow classmates that really did miss me while I was gone for a week.
People I never would have expected to text me and ask when I would be back.

I have two wonderful families that truly want me to be happy.
They both might not like the tattoos I'll end up with
Or the piercings
But they truly want me to be happy.

All these wonderful people outweigh the occasional jerks.
They outweigh the insecurities and bad moods
The wonderful people in my life just want me to be myself, nothing more and nothing less.

So here's the bare truth.
I'm 18 years old
5'4.5" and 150 pounds
I swear too much
And sleep too little
I'm ghostly pale
And battle with OCD and panic disorders

And if I'm going to be deeply honest,
I wouldn't change a thing.

Jacqueline

I'm pretty ecstatic!

Photobucket
18th birthday pic ♥

So since I'm finally getting caught up on my life, I've been insanely tired since I came back. We stayed up so late every night that I'm really in a daze! I've gone back to school but had to work my way back into my old schedule. I came home to a cold, shocker to get one at the airport right?, and a business presentation in history class. Thankfully the teacher absolutely loved it, ya know it's real anyway, and I'm pretty sure I got an A. :)

Slowly but surely it is occurring to me that my high school days are at an end. I've been excited all year, sure, but it really is going to be all over in exactly three weeks. Friday the 3rd of June I'll officially be done with my high school career. Everyone feels the same way, you enter freshmen year and although you're pumped to be there you're already ready to graduate. You want to enter the world and do your own thing... well it's really setting in that it is my time. I'll be attending college in the fall and starting my own journey.
I think to celebrate I'll pierce my nose ;)

I'm also very happy to say that I'll be seeing my man in eight days! Our Rammstein, meet the family, celebrate my birthday, see each other and be happy again day is next Saturday (May 21st)!! We are really ecstatic. So far I've talked to his mother to a few times on the phone, as well as Skype, and she is seriously the cutest woman ever. I'm pretty sure we have girl crushes on each other. I can't wait to meet his family and show them mow much I truly adore their son.

Is there anything exciting going on in your life? I'd love to know :)

Finally home!

Photobucket
We, the bridesmaids, all had yellow shoes too!

I am happy to say I have returned safely from Hawaii, where I was with family preparing for my sister's wedding. Before we left I got a wonderful spray tan, which is now peeling off due to my dry skin, and really had never been so dark in my life! I've always been so pale that I would double take at myself in the mirror.

This is my bridesmaid dress. It's a light cotton from victoria's secret and has a reaaaallly pretty shape on any girl! We also wore yellow lays, yellow sandals, and blue bracelets. I had my nails done a french tip the day before the wedding and picked them off as soon as the pictures were taken! haha.

Boy, I tell ya a wedding is hard to prepare! Although we got to the island on Wednesday, and the wedding was Saturday, we sure were scrambling for it! We stayed in a large house, dubbed The Plantation House, along with family, friends, wide groomsmen, and of course the bride and the groom.

Over the course of the week we ate, partied, shopped, and didn't really sleep much. Although it was pretty hectic, it ended up being an absolutely beautiful wedding. The rain came down lightly during the ceremony, but it really added to the atmosphere. Kacey and Billy had a modern Hawaiin style wedding, so of course the rain is a blessing ;).

I love you Billy and Kacey, I hope your marriage is long and very happy. I'm really glad I got to be apart of your happiest day. :) I love you both very very much and am proud to be your sister.

May

Photobucket
hehe Shabby did my make up yesterday ;)

It's May! Finally the month I've been waiting for. Everything wonderful is happening in these four weeks!
I leave for Hawaii on Wednesday morning, hurray hurray! It seems like Billy and Kacey just got engaged, but that was more like nine months ago! I have the cutest dresses packed, I'm not going to bring jeans at all. I'm ready to look adorable everyday! Their wedding is Saturday and I am really excited to be a bridesmaid. Truthfully it's the first wedding I've really attended. :)

Also, Friday is my birthday! Finally eighteen is here. hehe.

The day after I get home from Hawaii I have a business project to present in my Economics class, but thankfully the teacher let me do it after my own business. I'm a little stressed but it should go swimmingly. I'm really excited to talk to the entire class about it.

Two weeks from this Saturday I'll be with my love again. We'll be celebrating my birthday with his family, which will be amazing! His mom is seriously the cutest little thing ever. I am kinda in love with her. I can't wait to spill on all the great times we'll have that weekend.

Two weeks after that I'll be graduating! Say goodbye high school, I'm out of here. :)

I hope your May is as wonderful as mine will be!
Love and Turtledoves,
Jacqueline
